At Colchester + Ipswich Museums, we are fortunate to work with a large number of volunteers, some of whom have supported the organisation for many years. We would like to say a huge thank you to each of them and showcase some of the amazing work they have been doing.

museum-volunteers-cleaning-a-dollVolunteers make invaluable contributions in a variety of ways, from working on conservation projects to meeting and greeting visitors. It can be a truly enriching experience for everyone involved and we are keen to open up our opportunities to new audiences. Everyone has skills that they can offer and helping to protect our shared heritage is very rewarding and lots of fun.

We aim to share a range of exciting volunteering projects twice a year, around March for Spring – Summer and September for Autumn – Winter, although some do pop up in between. If you are 18 or over, and interested in volunteering for Colchester + Ipswich Museums, check out our website.
